Mexican cornbread
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- cooking oil - 1/3 c
- beaten eggs - 2 item
- hamburger meat - 1 lb
- onion - 1 item
- American cheese, grated - 1/3 lb
- can yellow kernel corn - 1 item
- can yellow cream-style corn - 1 item
- small jalapeno peppers, chopped - 4 item
- cornmeal yellow - 1 c
How to make mexican cornbread:
Saute hamburger meat with onion; drain grease. Mix first 8 ingredients. Pour 1/2 cornmeal batter in first. Add your hamburger meat, then sprinkle cheese. Add remaining cornbread mixture. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour. Bake at 350°. Let cool for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, North american.
