  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • milk
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1/2 c
  • oil - 1/4 c
  • baking powder - 4 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • grated cheese - 1 c
  • can chopped green chilies - 1 item
  • corn - 1 c
  • meal

How to make mexican cornbread:

Combine dry ingredients; add milk, egg and oil. Mix just until dry ingredients are moist. Stir in cheese, chilies and corn. Pour into a greased 8 or 9-inch pan and bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes.
