- oil - 2/3 c
- baking powder - 2 Tbsp
- cornmeal
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- chopped bell pepper - 2 Tbsp
- jalapeno peppers, chopped - 2 item
- cream corn - 1 c
How to make mexican cornbread:
Combine all ingredients except cheese. Pour 1/2 of batter into well greased iron skillet. Put 1/2 of cheese on the batter. Pour remaining batter into pan and add remaining cheese on top. Bake in 350° preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, North american.
