Ingredients/Components
- oil - 1/4 c
- self-rising flour - 1 c
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- whole milk - 1 c
- sharp cheese, grated - 1 c
- cream-style corn - 1 c
- jalapeno peppers, chopped - 1/4 c
How to make mexican cornbread:
Mix all ingredients except 1/2 of the cheese. Sprinkle this 1/2 on top of the batter. Bake at 400° until done (about 20 to 25 minutes) in a well-greased 8-inch pan or a 12 large muffin pan.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, North american.
