Mexican cornbread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 3 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- all-purpose flour - 1 c
- cooking oil
- cottage cheese - 1 c
- sharp Cheddar cheese, grated - 8 oz
- corn meal - 1 c
- cans green chilies - 2 item
How to make mexican cornbread:
Mix the first five ingredients in a bowl and add egg, milk, cottage cheese and cooking oil. Pour 1/2 of the batter into a well-greased pan. Add grated cheese and green chilies. Add remaining batter.
