Mexican cornbread
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- Cheddar cheese, shredded - 1 c
- shortening, melted - 1/3 c
- 1 can cream corn - 8 oz
- cornmeal, yellow - 1 c
- 1 can green chiles, chopped drained - 4 oz
How to make mexican cornbread:
Blend together cornmeal, salt and soda. Stir in shortening. Add sour cream, corn and eggs. Mix well. Stir in green chiles and cheeses. Pour into a greased 9x13-inch pan.Bake at 375° for 35 to 40 minutes.
