Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 2 c
  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • baking powder - 6 tsp
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • yellow cornmeal - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • milk
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • can creamed corn - 1 item
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 1 c
  • jalapeno peppers - 3 item

How to make mexican cornbread:

Blend flour, sugar, baking powder and salt; add cornmeal. Blend 2 eggs, milk and oil. Add corn, cheese and pepper. Use a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 450° for 30 minutes.
