Ingredients/Components
- self-rising corn meal
- eggs - 3 item
- cream-style corn - 1 c
- cooking oil - 2/3 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
- hot pepper, chopped - 1 item
- small onion - 1 item
- grated sharp Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- large red pepper, chopped - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
How to make mexican corn bread:
Mix meal, milk and eggs. Stir in oil. Add peppers, corn, onion and cheese. Stir only enough to mix. Pour batter into greased pan and bake at 375° for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
