Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- eggs - 3 item
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- Crisco oil - 1/2 c
- bell pepper - 1 item
- yellow corn meal
- cream-style corn - 1 c
- hot peppers - 3 item
How to make mexican corn bread:
Mix ingredients together and pour 1/2 of mixture in skillet. Sprinkle 1 cup grated cheese over this. Chop 3 hot peppers and 1 bell pepper finely; mix and sprinkle over cheese, then add remaining batter over all. Bake at 450° for 25 minutes.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
