Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- vegetable oil - 2/3 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1 Tbsp
- yellow corn meal
- can - 1 can
- grated cheese not essential - 1 c
How to make mexican corn bread:
Put all ingredients in bowl in order listed except cheese and mix thoroughly. Pour half of batter into greased baking dish; sprinkle with half of cheese; add remaining batter and top with rest of cheese. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
