Mexican corn bread
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- buttermilk - 3/4 c
- garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
- medium onion - 1 item
- grated sharp Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- self-rising corn meal - 2 c
- small can creamed corn - 1 item
- to 4 jalapeno peppers, chopped - 3 item
- liquid shortening - 1/2 c
How to make mexican corn bread:
Mix all ingredients, except cheese. Pour 1/2 batter into well-greased pan. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Pour on rest of batter. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
