Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • garlic powder - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1 tsp
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • ground beef - 2 lb
  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 1/4
  • can evaporated milk - 1 oz
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • tortillas - 1 pkg
  • small jar taco sauce - 1 item
  • sharp or mild Cheddar cheese - 1 lb
  • can chili peppers, chopped - 1 oz

How to make mexican casserole:

Place a layer of tortillas in bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan. Brown meat with salt, pepper and garlic powder; add remaining ingredients except cheese. Place layer of meat mixture over tortillas, then layer of tortillas, then meat mixture. Add grated cheese. Bake in 350° oven for 45 minutes or until bubbly.
