Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 item
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- oregano - 1 tsp
- cans tomato sauce - 4 oz
- cloves minced garlic - 2 item
- cooked rice - 1 c
- Accent - 1 tsp
- cumin - 1 tsp
How to make mexicali rice:
Cook onions and garlic in 2 tablespoons oil until golden brown. Add ground beef and other ingredients and simmer until hot. Serve over corn chips. Garnish with grated sharp Cheddar cheese, chopped ripe olives and chopped avocados. Makes 6 to 8 servings.For those that like it hot, serve with hot sauce. Fun to serve at patio parties. Use large Mexican sombrero and put chips around the brim.
