- sugar - 6 Tbsp
- egg whites - 3 item
- cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
- flavoring - 1/2 tsp
How to make meringue:
Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff. Gradually beat in sugar, a little at a time. Continue beating until stiff and glossy. Do not underbeat. Beat until sugar is dissolved. Add flavoring. Pile meringue onto hot pie filling, being careful to seal edges. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes until delicately browned.Recipe categories: Low sodium, Low fat, Condiments, etc..
