Ingredients/Components

  • cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
  • cold water - 2 Tbsp
  • boiling water - 1/2 c
  • egg whites - 3 item
  • cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
  • sugar - 1/3 c

How to make meringue:

Mix cornstarch and cold water. Add boiling water. Cook about 2 minutes. Cool. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar to soft peaks. Add sugar gradually. Add cornstarch mixture all at once. Beat until blended. Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly brown.
