Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 tsp
  • milk - 3 Tbsp
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • water - 1 c
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • garlic salt - 1 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • slightly beaten eggs - 2 item
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • oregano - 1/2 tsp
  • can tomato paste - 1 oz
  • green pepper - 1/2 c
  • pork sausage - 1 lb
  • very fine dry bread crumbs - 1/2 c
  • submarine rolls - 8 item

How to make meatball subs:

Mix together the eggs, milk, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and the ground beef. Form the ingredients into balls and cook on medium heat until done.

Meanwhile, cook the onion, green pepper and sausage together until brown and then add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, sugar, garlic salt and oregano and cook until everything is mixed together. Add the meatballs and cook on low heat for 1 hour. Insert meatballs in a sub roll with slices of Mozzarella cheese on top and heat until cheese melts.
