Meat loaf wellington
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- water - 1/3 c
- fine dry bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- lean ground beef - 2 lb
- finely chopped onions - 1/2 c
- can crescent rolls - 1 oz
How to make meat loaf wellington:
Mix thoroughly 1/2 cup soup, ground beef, bread crumbs, onions, egg and salt. Shape firmly into loaf and place in baking pan. Bake at 375° for 1 hour. Spoon off fat, saving 3 tablespoons drippings. Separate the crescent rolls and place crosswise over top and down sides of meat loaf, overlapping slightly. Bake 15 minutes more.Meanwhile, in saucepan, combine remaining soup, water and drippings to make gravy. Pour over meat loaf when removed from oven.
