Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • dry mustard - 1 tsp
  • catsup - 1/4 c
  • sage - 1/2 tsp
  • ground beef
  • salt and pepper - 1 tsp
  • medium chopped onion - 1 item
  • sweet milk - 1 c
  • slices bread crumbs - 5 item
  • Add sweet milk and ground beef

How to make meat loaf:

Put bread crumbs in large bowl. Add sweet milk and ground beef. Beat eggs and add to meat. Add salt, pepper, sage and onion. Form into loaf.Sauce:3 tsp. brown sugar1/4 tsp. nutmeg1/4 c. catsup1 tsp. dry mustard Mix sauce ingredients and pour over meat loaf. Bake at 350° for 1 1/4 hours. To remove grease from meat loaf, wrap in foil. Punch holes in bottom. Place in oven on rack or deep pan. Put water in pan. Grease will run out into water.
