Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- eggs, lightly beaten - 2 item
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- caraway seed - 1 tsp
- ground beef or turkey - 2 lb
- can sauerkraut, drained - 1 oz
- catsup or chili sauce - 2 Tbsp
- soft, unseeded rye bread crumbs - 2 c
How to make meat loaf:
Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine bread crumbs, sauerkraut, eggs, milk, chopped onion, caraway seed, pepper and catsup or chili sauce. Then after a good mixing, add ground beef or turkey. Mix well. Pat into a thick, flat loaf (10 x 8 or 9 x 13-inch) pan. Bake 1 1/4 hours.
