Meat cabbage casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- finely shredded carrots - 1 c
- ground meat - 1 lb
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- shredded cabbage - 1 c
- chopped chives - 1 Tbsp
- dash of black pepper - 1 item
- jar herb spaghetti sauce - 1 oz
How to make meat cabbage casserole:
In skillet, saute onion in butter until soft; add ground meat. In buttered pan, layer carrots on 1/2 cabbage; add meat mixture. Press down slightly; add remaining cabbage to spaghetti sauce and chives. Pour on top of casserole. Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour until cabbage is soft. Add cheese on top. Bake 5 to 8 minutes until the cheese is melted. Serve immediately.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Oven.
