  • cocoa - 1/2 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • baking soda
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • sugar - 1 c
  • mayonnaise - 3/4 c
  • milk
  • vanilla - 1 tsp

How to make mayonnaise cake:

Put all ingredients into a large bowl and beat well until smooth. Pour into two 9-inch well-greased cake pans. Salad dressing may be used instead of mayonnaise. Double all the ingredients and pour into a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan. Frost with your favorite chocolate recipe.

Our family has used this for birthday cakes for 36 years. It stays moist (if you have any left).
