Maryland crab cakes
Ingredients/Components
- lump crab meat - 2 lb
- bread crumbs - 2/3 c
- mayonnaise - 2/3 c
- egg - 1 item
- horseradish - 2 Tbsp
- finely chopped green pepper
- prepared mustard - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- fat or oil for frying - 1 item
How to make maryland crab cakes:
Pick shells from crab meat. Place all ingredients in large bowl and toss lightly but thoroughly; do not break crab lumps. Form into 10 patties. You can make them smaller. Fry in deep fat at 360° until golden brown, about 8 minutes. I also like to broil them.Recipe categories: Main dish, Shellfish, Crab.
