  • lump crab meat - 2 lb
  • bread crumbs - 2/3 c
  • mayonnaise - 2/3 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • horseradish - 2 Tbsp
  • finely chopped green pepper
  • prepared mustard - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • fat or oil for frying - 1 item

How to make maryland crab cakes:

Pick shells from crab meat. Place all ingredients in large bowl and toss lightly but thoroughly; do not break crab lumps. Form into 10 patties. You can make them smaller. Fry in deep fat at 360° until golden brown, about 8 minutes. I also like to broil them.
