Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- confectioners sugar - 2 lb
- can sweetened condensed milk - 1 item
- margarine, melted - 1/2 c
- paraffin wax - 1/4 lb
- unsweetened baking chocolate - 8 sq
- nuts, coconut and candied fruit - 1 qt
How to make martha washington candy:
Mix sugar, margarine, milk, vanilla, nuts, coconut and candied fruit. Butter hands and roll mixture into small balls about 1/2-inch in diameter. Place on cookie sheet and place in refrigerator to cool.Melt chocolate and paraffin wax in a double boiler. Coat each ball with chocolate mixture. Toothpicks work well to dip the balls in chocolate. Place on cookie sheet and refrigerate.
