Marshmallow salad
Ingredients/Components
- whipping cream - 2 c
- broken pecans - 1/2 c
- can sliced pineapple - 1 item
- large bag marshmallows - 1 item
How to make marshmallow salad:
Save juice from pineapple for sauce. Pull marshmallows into small pieces and combine with cut-up pineapple. Add nuts. Pour sauce over this and stir. Fold in whipped cream last.Sauce: Beat yolk of one egg; add 1 tablespoon sugar, juice of 1 lemon and juice from pineapple. (May add 1 tablespoon flour to thicken.) Cook slowly until mixture thickens. Cool before adding to salad.
