Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 Tbsp
  • vegetable oil - 1/4 c
  • ground ginger - 1 tsp
  • plain yogurt - 1/2 c
  • finely chopped onions - 2 item
  • ripe tomatoes, chopped - 2 item
  • red pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • cumin - 1/2 Tbsp
  • turmeric - 1 tsp
  • coriander - 1 Tbsp
  • pinch of black pepper - 1 item
  • chicken legs, skinned - 8 item
  • to 3 cloves ground garlic - 2 item

How to make marsala chicken:

Heat oil in large pan. Add chopped onions and fry until golden brown, then add all the spices. Fry for 1 minute. Add tomatoes and fry to form a paste. (You may have to add 1/4 cup water.) Now add the chicken and yogurt. Cover pan. After 2 minutes, lower heat to medium and cook until chicken is very tender. Serve with pita bread, tortillas or rice.
