Marinated vegetables
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- chopped bell pepper - 1 item
- Wesson oil - 1/2 c
- small jar pimento - 1 item
- small can Shoe Peg corn - 1 item
- regular can English peas - 1 item
- regular can French-style beans - 1 item
How to make marinated vegetables:
Mix sugar, vinegar, salt, Wesson oil and pepper in water in saucepan. Bring to boil and boil 3 to 4 minutes; cool. Mix in large bowl corn, peas, beans (all drained), pimento, onion, bell pepper and celery. Stir in cooled liquid; refrigerate. Will keep for days.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Vegetables.
