  • sugar
  • water - 1/3 c
  • vegetable oil - 1/3 c
  • cider vinegar - 3/4 c
  • celery seed - 1 tsp
  • celery - 1/2 1
  • green pepper - 1/2 1
  • can LeSueur peas - 15 oz
  • medium red onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings - 1 item
  • can French-cut green beans - 16 oz
  • can white Shoe Peg corn - 11 oz
  • red pepper or pimento - 1/2 1

How to make marinated vegetable salad:

Dressing:3/4 c. sugar3/4 c. cider vinegar1/3 c. water1/3 c. vegetable oil1 tsp. celery seed Drain juice from canned vegetables and then combine with the rest of the ingredients. Mix the dressing ingredients together and boil until the sugar is dissolved. Pour the vegetables and refrigerate at least 24 hours. Serves 10 to 12.

This salad may be kept in the refrigerator for two weeks, if there is any left. A good dish to bring to a potluck.
