Marinated vegetable salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- dry mustard - 2 tsp
- poppy seed - 2 Tbsp
- large fresh mushrooms, sliced - 8 item
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- ribs celery, chopped - 3 item
- head cauliflower - 1 item
- small onion, grated - 1 item
- bunch fresh broccoli - 1 item
How to make marinated vegetable salad:
Break cauliflower and broccoli into bite sized flowerets. Combine vegetables. Toss lightly. Combine remaining ingredients to make marinade. Mix the marinade well and pour it over the vegetables. Chill at least 3 hours.Suggestion: For a lighter salad, substitute water for part or all of the oil. Serves 10 to 12.
