Ingredients/Components

  • vinegar - 3/4 c
  • white sugar - 2 c
  • salad oil - 1/2 c
  • dry mustard - 1 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
  • can tomato juice - 1 item
  • green pepper, sliced - 1 item
  • large onion, sliced - 1 item
  • fresh carrots - 2 lb

How to make marinated carrots:

Slice carrots round and cook in salted water until tender, and drain. Place the other ingredients in a pot and cook until sugar dissolves. Pour over carrots while hot. Cool. Refrigerate for 24 hours. Keeps indefinitely.
