Marinated carrots
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salad oil - 1/3 c
- mustard - 1/2 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- carrots - 2 lb
- can tomato soup - 1 item
- large green pepper - 1 item
- Worcestershire - 2 Tbsp
- white vinegar - 3/4 c
- large onion - 1 item
How to make marinated carrots:
Scrape, wash and slice carrots. Cook until tender (do not overcook). Drain well. Chop onion and green pepper (coarsely). In a large bowl, add onion, green pepper and cooked carrots. Mix together: tomato soup, sugar, oil, vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire, salt and pepper. Pour the tomato soup mixture over carrots, etc. Cover tightly and chill several hours or overnight.
