Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • salad oil - 1/3 c
  • mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • carrots - 2 lb
  • can tomato soup - 1 item
  • large green pepper - 1 item
  • Worcestershire - 2 Tbsp
  • white vinegar - 3/4 c
  • large onion - 1 item

How to make marinated carrots:

Scrape, wash and slice carrots. Cook until tender (do not overcook). Drain well. Chop onion and green pepper (coarsely). In a large bowl, add onion, green pepper and cooked carrots. Mix together: tomato soup, sugar, oil, vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire, salt and pepper. Pour the tomato soup mixture over carrots, etc. Cover tightly and chill several hours or overnight. Great for outings!
