Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • vinegar - 2/3 c
  • salad oil - 1/3 c
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • can kidney beans, drained - 1 lb
  • can cut green beans, drained - 1 lb
  • can cut wax beans, drained - 1 lb
  • can chickpeas, drained garbanzo beans - 1 lb
  • small red onion, sliced and cut into strips - 1 item

How to make marinated 4 bean salad:

Combine sugar, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper. Pour over vegetables and onion. Toss several times while chilling. Best if served after refrigerating overnight. Can be kept in refrigerator at least a week.
