Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt
- olive or vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- basil - 2 Tbsp
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- garlic cloves, minced - 2 item
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
How to make marinara sauce:
In a 2-quart saucepan, over medium heat, in the 2 tablespoons oil, cook garlic and onion until tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, their liquid and remaining ingredients. Reduce heat to low.
