Marinara sauce
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1/4 c
- oregano - 1 tbsp
- olive oil - 6 tbsp
- tomato paste
- fresh ground black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- large cloves of garlic minced - 3 item
- fresh parsley 16 sprigs leaves only
- plum tomatoes 3- 1# cans chopped - 6 c
- small can anchovy filets chopped - 1 item
How to make marinara sauce:
Combine oil and butter on medium heat until butter melts. Add garlic and parsley, cook 5 minutes. Add remaining seasonings. Add tomatoes and simmer 30 minutes. Add anchovies and tomato paste. If adding shrimp add and let simmer 3 minutes. Serve over angel hair pasta.*
