Marinade for venison
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- vinegar
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- chopped celery - 1 tsp
- red wine
- bay leaves - 2 item
- whole cloves - 10 item
- whole peppercorns - 10 item
- large thin sliced onion - 1 item
How to make marinade for venison:
Combine all ingredients, mixing well. Place venison in enamel or earthenware bowl. Pour marinade over it. Cover with cheesecloth. Let stand at least 24 hours or up to 4 days in a cool but not refrigerated temperature. Turn meat often to thoroughly marinate.
