Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- boiling water - 1/4 c
- egg whites - 6 item
- cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
- cake flour - 1/2 c
- Second Half:6 egg yolks, beaten
How to make marble cake:
Second Half:6 egg yolks, beaten3/4 c. sugar1/4 c. boiling water3/4 c. cake flour1 tsp. baking powder Add salt and cream of tartar to egg whites. Beat until stiff. Add sugar and flour alternately, one tablespoon at a time, folding into egg mixture. Add vanilla last.Sift flour and baking powder; add sugar and flour alternately to egg yolks, then boiling water. Pour second half over first half in ungreased tube pan. Bake 45 minutes at 325°.
