  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • maple syrup - 3/4 c
  • flour
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • shortening - 1/3 c
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • egg whites - 3 item

How to make maple syrup cake:

Cream sugar and shortening together. Add syrup and stir. Add milk and flour alternately. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in oblong pan. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until done.
