Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 4 5
- butter - 1/2 c
- warm water - 1/2 c
- yeast - 2 pkg
- milk, scalded and cooled - 1 c
How to make maple bars:
Dissolve yeast in warm water; add to other ingredients. Knead and let rise until double in bulk. Roll out and cut into strips. Let rise a second time, then fry in hot fat. Cool and frost with your favorite maplene frosting.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Yeast breads.
