Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 5 item
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- water - 1 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 3/4 c
- Ricotta cheese - 1 lb
- Mozzarella cheese, cut in strips - 1/2 lb
- tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce - 24 oz
How to make manicotti:
Crepes: Stir flour, water and salt until smooth. Beat in 4 eggs one at a time. Pour batter into 5 to 6-inch greased pan (do not brown).Filling: Stir 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 grated Parmesan cheese, pepper and 1 egg. Put 2 tablespoons in crepes and 1 strip Mozzarella cheese. Roll up seam side down. Cover bottom of dish with sauce. Put crepes in and top with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup grated cheese on top. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
