Mango chutney
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- brown sugar - 3/4 lb
- vinegar - 1 pt
- raisins - 1/2 lb
- onions - 1/2 c
- blanched almonds - 1/4 lb
- sweet peppers - 1/2 c
- currants - 1/2 lb
- white mustard - 1/2 Tbsp
- peeled mango, cut in small pieces - 1 lb
- green ginger - 3 oz
- chilies or hot peppers - 1 oz
How to make mango chutney:
To vinegar, add sugar and bring to a boil. Add spices, vegetables, mangoes, raisins and salt. Bring to a boil and boil 30 minutes. Pack while at boiling point in sterilized jars and seal. Mangoes just beginning to turn are best selected.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Chutneys.
