Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- pkg - 1 oz
- butter
- cornstarch - 1 item
- oil - 1/2 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- powdered sugar - 2 c
- Cool Whip - 8 oz
- can mandarin oranges undrained - 1 item
- Duncan Hines yellow butter cake mix - 1 pkg
- Filling:1 can crushed pineapple
How to make mandarin orange pineapple cake:
Filling:1 can crushed pineapple1/2 c. sugar cornstarch Icing:1/4 c. butter1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese2 c. powdered sugar8 oz. Cool Whip1 (12 oz.) pkg. coconut Cake: Mix ingredients. Bake in 3 greased and floured 9-inch pans for 20 to 30 minutes at 350°. Cool completely.Filling: Cook pineapple and sugar. Add cornstarch, mixed with a small amount of water. Add just enough while cooking to make a thick filling. Spread between layers, then ice the cake.
Icing: Cream the butter and cream cheese. Add powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in Cool Whip. Sprinkle cake with coconut and press into icing.
