  • yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
  • can crushed pineapple, drained
  • frozen whipped topping - 16 oz
  • cans mandarin oranges - 3 8

How to make mandarin orange cake:

Drain the oranges, reserving the juice.

Prepare the cake mix according to the package directions, substituting the reserved mandarin orange juice for the water. Stir in two cans of mandarin oranges.

Pour into three greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.

Bake at 300-325° until layers test done. Cool on wire racks.

Beat whipped topping and pudding mix in mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Fold in pineapple and remaining oranges. Spread between layers and over the top and side of the cake.
