- vegetable oil - 1 item
- medium, very ripe plantains - 3 item
How to make maduros:
When selecting very ripe plantains, the skin should be very black and they are slightly soft. Peel plantains and slice 1/4-inch thick diagonally. Heat 1-inch oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry until golden brown (2 to 3 minutes per side); drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.Susan and Rosa taught me how to make these. A Cuban treat.
