Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- diced cheese - 1/2 lb
- celery
- macaroni - 1 lb
- small green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- Dressing:2 eggs
How to make macaroni salad:
Dressing:2 eggs1/2 c. water1 1/2 c. sugar1/2 c. vinegar1/2 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. pepper Cook and drain macaroni. Add celery, cheese, onion and green pepper.Mix and cook dressing ingredients until thickened. Pour over the salad and chill. This is a good recipe for a picnic because it has no mayonnaise. Serves 12; 268 calories per serving.
