Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- prepared mustard - 1 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 1 qt
- parsley - 1 tsp
- large onion, diced - 1 item
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- cooked and drained macaroni - 1 1
- brown vinegar - 1 c
- carrot, diced - 1 item
- small jar sweet pickle relish - 1/2 item
- eggs, hard-cooked and diced - 6 item
- green pepper, diced for flavor - 1 item
- small ripe tomato, diced - 1 item
- strips celery, diced - 2 item
How to make macaroni salad:
In large saucepan, simmer vinegar and sugar and then add mayonnaise. Beat with wire whisk until smooth. Add parsley, celery seed, mustard, green pepper, relish, tomato, celery, carrot, eggs and onion. Blend all together. Then add drained macaroni. Mix gently; salt and pepper to taste.
