Macaroni salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- water - 1/4 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
- prepared mustard - 6 Tbsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 1 c
- hard-cooked eggs, chopped - 4 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- Add mustard
- stick celery, diced - 1 item
- sweet pickles, diced - 2 item
How to make macaroni salad:
Mix flour, sugar, salt and pepper. Add mustard. Then add butter, eggs, water and vinegar. Stir and cook over medium heat until thick. Add mayonnaise and mix with macaroni mixture. Best if added when macaroni is hot and made the day ahead. Yields 1 gallon.Macaroni Mixture:3 c.
