Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • butter, melted - 1/4 c
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • mayonnaise - 1 c
  • sharp Cheddar cheese, grated - 1 lb
  • mushroom soup - 1 c
  • can mushroom pieces, drained - 1 oz
  • jar pimentos - 1 oz
  • buttery cheese crackers, crushed - 15 item

How to make macaroni and cheese casserole:

Combine macaroni, cheese, mushrooms, mushroom soup, pimentos, mayonnaise, milk and onions. Top with crushed crackers and melted butter. Bake at 350° for about 40 minutes. Makes a 2-quart casserole with 6 to 8 servings as a main dish, 8 to 10 servings as a side dish.
