Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- elbow macaroni - 8 oz
- shredded cheese
- dry bread crumbs for topping - 1/2 c
How to make macaroni and cheese:
Cook the macaroni according to package directions. In a medium saucepan, combine the dry ingredients. Stir in milk until smooth. Add margarine. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese until melted. Pour over macaroni in greased 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 25 minutes.Recipe categories: Cheese, Pasta, Elbow macaroni.
