Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- dry mustard optional - 1/2 tsp
- American or shredded Cheddar cheese, divided about 2 c - 8 oz
- elbow macaroni, cooked 6 minutes and drained - 8 oz
How to make macaroni and cheese:
In medium saucepan, combine cornstarch, salt, dry mustard and pepper. Stir in milk until smooth. Add margarine. Stirring constantly, bring to boil over medium-high heat and boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Reserve 1/4 cup cheese for topping. Stir inRecipe categories: Cheese, Pasta, Elbow macaroni.
