Macaroni and cheese
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- paprika - 1/2 tsp
- garlic salt - 1/8 tsp
- minced onion - 1 tsp
- elbow macaroni - 8 oz
- shredded cheese
- slices bread, torn in small pieces - 3 item
How to make macaroni and cheese:
Melt butter; blend in flour and seasonings. Add milk and cornstarch. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add 1 cup of cheese and stir until melted. Cook macaroni as directed on package; drain. Combine with sauce in greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheese and bread crumbs. Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 25 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.Note: One pound ground beef may be cooked, drained and added to macaroni before sauce is stirred in.
