Macaroni and cheese
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- margarine
- elbow macaroni - 1 c
- Velveeta - 1 c
How to make macaroni and cheese:
Cook macaroni in boiling salt water until tender, 10 to 15 minutes. Drain and rinse. Melt margarine in small saucepan. Blend in flour; stir until lumps disappear. Remove from heat and add milk slowly. Return to heat and bring to boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Mixture needs to be of medium thickness. Add cheese, salt and pepper. Continue stirring until cheese melts. In 1-quart casserole dish, blend cheese mix with macaroni. Serve immediately.Recipe categories: Cheese, Pasta, Elbow macaroni.
